Signal Garden

Compose music that grows a living, readable landscape.

Estimated progress95%

Now Phone audio and swipe repairs live

Start playtest
Things to try: Signal Garden

Pick a few ideas that sound good, and let your ears lead the way.

  • Find your garden

Listen to two presets, then try Create random scene and let a whole piece unfold.

Does the music develop, and does the garden help you hear its shape?

  • Plant a small phrase

In Beds, plant a few notes, change their pitch, and give one a longer length or a chord.

Can you make the sound you imagined without fighting the controls?

  • Give it a second act

In Piece, vary a section and rearrange its appearances; listen as playback follows the bars.

Is it clear which bar you are editing and which one you are hearing?

  • Change the weather

Randomize the garden, keep a favorite color or flora setting, and roll again.

Which combinations feel alive, readable, or too busy?

  • Take it with you

Save a copy or export a WAV; on a phone, try editing upright and sideways, then briefly lock the screen during playback.

Does the music remain pleasant and the return to the garden feel smooth?

Project details: Signal Garden
Current work
Background audio now uses pre-rendered buffers, with no late chunks or gaps in the sixfold CPU-throttled check. Smooth strip swiping and hold-drag editing are live.
Next step
Ready for a real-phone recheck when you return.
Limitations
Real phone screen-off behavior remains unverified.

Tidal Archive

A narrative exploration game set in a drowning city.

Estimated progress90%

Now Awaiting owner re-playtest before feedback

Start playtest
Things to try: Tidal Archive

Wander at your own pace; these are invitations, not a route through the story.

  • Chase the tide

Use the map and tide forecast to choose a reachable destination, then watch how your options change.

Can you judge travel time and closed routes before committing?

  • Meet the city

Follow a person or a document that catches your interest, with a detour somewhere unfamiliar.

Do the people and places give you reasons to care beyond collecting everything?

  • Work something out

Try a mechanism you find, using the documents and clues you have gathered.

Do its controls and responses help you understand an attempt without giving the answer away?

  • Curate twelve pages

Put a few favorites in the Tidebook, then swap one as your view of the city changes.

Does choosing what to preserve feel meaningful, and is the page cost clear?

  • Finish your journey

Save a manual slot, take a break, and return for a departure when you feel ready.

Is resuming easy, and does the ending reflect the journey you remember?

Lanternfish

A fantasy 16-bit computer with its own language, IDE and debugger.

Estimated progress90%

Now Awaiting owner re-playtest before feedback

Start playtest
Things to try: Lanternfish

Treat this little computer as a toy box, with an optional peek under the lid.

  • Play two very different games

Choose Lumen Drift, then Prism Courier; click the screen for keyboard focus and use arrows, Z/X, and Enter.

Are the controls responsive, and can you tell what each game wants from you?

  • Listen to the machine

Let Tidepool run, then explore Abyss Tracker using its on-screen help.

Does the sound feel inviting, and can you make a musical change you recognize?

  • Make one tiny edit

Change something small in an example and press Ctrl+Enter; use Revert if you want the original back.

Is the connection between your edit and the result satisfying?

  • Freeze a moment

In a Glint program, click the gutter for a breakpoint, then use F8 and F10 to pause and step.

Can you follow where the program is and what changes each step?

  • Keep your cartridge

Export your edited cartridge, then import it and run it again.

Does the result still feel like yours, and are mistakes or import problems explained clearly?

Project details: Lanternfish

Event Horizon

Fly close to a black hole and come home to people who kept living.

Estimated progress88%

Now Ready for your next playtest

Start playtest
Things to try: Event Horizon

Start with Settle and follow whichever part of the expedition makes you curious.

  • Learn to shape an orbit

Follow the opening coach: try a small burn, inspect its amber prediction, and work toward a round orbit.

Does each adjustment teach you something, or feel like guessing?

  • Make a plan you can read

Pause to inspect a planned burn, select it in Burn plan, and try editing its timing when available.

Can you connect the list, map, and time strip to the same event?

  • Look out the window

Switch between map, split, and optical views; try a closer view with Ship or Follow.

Does the view convey motion and scale comfortably, with useful sound cues?

  • Keep in touch

Read the letters between missions and watch the ship and home clocks when the campaign introduces them.

Do waiting and distance matter to you emotionally, and are the clocks understandable?

  • Return to a flight

Use Export for a backup, reload your expedition, and continue toward another mission when you like.

Can you recover your bearings, and does the pacing make you want to keep flying?

Project details: Event Horizon
Current work
Your interface requests are live (burn plan, full-length strip, pannable map, plain labels, step-by-step reveals, fine steps, quiet mail). Missions 5 and 6 now carry real home-clock stakes with Ruth and Pip.
Next step
Replay from mission 1, or jump to missions 5 and 6 for the new stakes, and tell us what still confuses.
Limitations
Mission 7 is unchanged; the late-mission choices are measured and tested but not yet played by a person.

Foldsmith+

A papercraft workshop: pick a model, watch it fold, print the kit.

Estimated progress97%

Now Real 3D helper ready to try

Start playtest
Things to try: Foldsmith+

Browse, customize, or make something from paper; choose whatever sounds enjoyable today.

  • Find an unexpected model

Start with Practice Cube, then browse a different family or search for something like a dinosaur.

Do pictures, difficulty, and materials help you choose confidently?

  • Make it yours

Change dimensions and colors, undo an edit, then save a copy and open that project.

Do the preview and restored settings match what you expected?

  • Watch it come together

Use Show me in 3D or Play this step; try a pop-up or the moving bird's operating preview.

Can you picture the folds and moving parts, and does 2D help on a slower device?

  • Try a real fold

Preview a complete kit; if you feel crafty, print a simple model at actual size and check its calibration square.

Are the fold marks, tabs, and instructions clear in your hands?

  • Explore Design

Open a handwritten example in Design; if the connected AI helper is available to you, try one small custom request.

Is it clear what the proposal can make, and does the result resemble your idea?

Project details: Foldsmith+
Current work
Solid crosses, hearts and custom outlines, plus full faceted models with assembly guides.
Next step
Try a cross, heart or penguin mask and inspect its model and printable sheets.
Limitations
Custom outlines have constant depth; complex designs use parameterized model builders.

Impossible Rooms

Architecture that cannot exist, explored in first person.

Estimated progress90%

Now Round 3 live: varied houses, chained impossibilities, new variants

Start playtest
Things to try: Impossible Rooms

Get pleasantly lost, follow your curiosity, and leave the house's explanations until you want them.

  • Trust your eyes for a while

Enter a house and wander; press N to leave chalk wherever the space feels strange.

Does the strangeness emerge naturally, and is marking a discovery intuitive?

  • Look back

After a surprising doorway, turn around; linger near windows and view them from a few distances.

Do distant views stay convincing, or do blank surfaces or sudden changes break the illusion?

  • Follow an invitation

Investigate doors and cabinets when an interaction prompt appears, and seek a few lanterns.

Can you distinguish something usable from scenery without trying every object?

  • Find your way home

Compare your memory with the map, then use H to follow your thread home after a detour.

Does recovery feel reassuring even when rooms stop behaving as expected?

  • Visit another house

When ready, end the house from the journal, read its explanation, and try another seed or Architect selection.

Do combined surprises reward a second visit, and do the explanations fit what you noticed?

Project details: Impossible Rooms
Current work
Owner round 3 is merged and public. Houses vary in layout, blocks can chain into each other, the fold is no longer always at the entrance, and each impossibility has several variants.
Next step
Owner playtest of round 3, then iterate on feel and puzzle difficulty.
Limitations
Agent checks only. The remaining browser suites for doors, variants and feel run after publish.

Worldseed

Watch life evolve across branching histories of a seeded world.

Estimated progress80%

Now Visual repair round merged

Start playtest
Things to try: Worldseed

Pick a creature to care about, then see what a different past might do to its world.

  • Follow a newcomer

Click a creature or a New badge, watch its range, and pause or scrub the timeline.

Can you distinguish species and follow a change without losing your place?

  • Change one thing

Open What if…, choose an available change, and compare the two histories as time advances.

Is the difference visible and interesting, even when the change barely matters?

  • Meet the cousins

Open Cousins after a fork and ask why relatives differ; explore their branches in Tree of life.

Do the explanations connect recognizable creatures to events you actually saw?

  • Step into the atlas

Select a region and choose Walk here, then visit it in another history or epoch.

Does being among the creatures add something the map alone cannot show?

  • Keep a favorite history

Explore a specimen card, add to your Journal, and use Save and Load to return later.

Does the world remain readable and worth revisiting as your collection of histories grows?

Project details: Worldseed
Current work
Creatures vary more in colour, markings, coat and proportions; each biome has its own light and plants; you can walk into the sea; drawing cost per creature fell about 12x. Live locally on port 5197.
Next step
Owner playtest, plus a re-run of the GPU fps page to confirm the first-flip stutter is gone.
Limitations
The stutter fix is verified only in software rendering so far.

Afterimage

One courtyard across a century: gather testimony, change the past, and decide what to tell Maya about the bell.

Estimated progress92%

Now Afterimage revealed and ready to play

Start playtest
Things to try: Afterimage

Follow a detail or a person across the years, without worrying about finding a perfect answer.

  • Get to know the Court

Explore 2026, inspect something with E, and use the map to revisit a person or object.

Does the place invite curiosity, and can you comfortably find what catches your eye?

  • Follow one detail through time

Use the Long Room door's key to visit another year and look for a familiar feature.

Can you recognize the same place while feeling the difference between eras?

  • Make a small prediction

Before a choice, guess what might change; revisit a later year and compare histories.

Is the consequence surprising but understandable, and does anyone's life matter to you?

  • Build your own account

Read the notebook's observations and testimony, add a theory, and tell Maya an account when one becomes available.

Can you separate what you saw, what someone claimed, and what you believe?

  • Reconsider and return

Try notebook Undo/Redo, then Save a file; after reloading, use Load to resume or Export to read your notebook elsewhere.

Is the current history clear, including what became an earlier account?

Project details: Afterimage
Current work
The independent ending check, evidence-boundary repairs, save and reopen and readable export checks passed.
Next step
Explore the courtyard across eras, collect evidence and revisit the consequences of your choices.
Limitations
The latest independent route covered one ending; other eras, accounts and physical-device feel still need your feedback.

Glyphcraft

Decode a mountain keeper's script, answer in it, then make the script your own and export a real font.

Estimated progress90%

Now Independent author round completed

Start playtest
Things to try: Glyphcraft

Enjoy deciphering a little writing, or head to the workshop and invent some of your own.

  • Read the hut

Use the primer to sound out a found line; ask for a hint whenever curiosity turns into frustration.

Does understanding feel earned, and does the help arrive at the right level?

Compose a reply from words you have learned and see how the hut responds.

Can you understand what you wrote and why it received that response?

  • Make a letter yours

Re-cut a letter and look for your handwriting in the primer and copied lines.

Does it feel personal while remaining easy to tell from other letters?

  • Invent in the workshop

Open an example copy in Workshop, change a word or way of saying, and read the affected lines before accepting.

Can you see what changed, what needs mending, and whose words stay preserved?

  • Take your writing away

Accept a line of your own, use Preview writing and Save writing, then try a font or script export.

Does the saved page look like your accepted work and make sense outside the workshop?

Project details: Glyphcraft
Current work
The independent author session and export inspection passed. Navigation repairs and a readable accepted-work preview are verified and merged.
Next step
Owner playtest when convenient.
Limitations
Physical device behavior and installed export use remain unverified.

Surveyor

Survey a landscape by eye, draw the map, and send a courier to walk it; their notes tell you where your map was wrong.

Estimated progress92%

Now Surveyor revealed and ready to play

Start playtest
Things to try: Surveyor

Make a field sheet you would trust, then let Oriel's journey teach you something about it.

  • Take a real bearing

Start on Windbreak Ridge, use the Crib card, and sight a landmark from more than one pin.

Can you connect the view, the brass vane, and your ruled lines?

  • Send your first route

Place your own marks, draw a route, and dispatch Oriel with the sheet you made.

Does watching the journey build anticipation, and can you understand the resulting report?

  • Learn from a wrong turn

Revise a route using Oriel's observations, or open the practice sheet for a ready-made puzzle.

Does a setback suggest a useful next observation without simply solving the map for you?

  • Take another commission

After delivery, visit the Post-office wall and try the next expedition with its different parcel and place.

Do new jobs change how you think, rather than repeat the same task?

  • Keep your fieldwork

After a finished trip, use Save sheet, reload, and Open sheet to return to your annotations.

Can you read your earlier reasoning and feel ownership of the sheet?

Project details: Surveyor
Current work
All three expeditions are implemented. The final independent delivery and save and reopen succeeded; the report layout repair passed three screen sizes.
Next step
Start at Windbreak Ridge, make your field sheet and send Oriel along your own route.
Limitations
The final run completed one expedition; an earlier task was interrupted. Natural full-journey transfer and physical-device feel remain unverified.

Automata

Draw motion and build hand-cranked mechanical sculptures.

Estimated progress85%

Now Latest playtest repairs are live

Start playtest
Things to try: Automata

Turn a few sculptures, then change a movement until it tells a little story of your own.

  • Browse the moving collection

Watch The Early Bird, Sky Rower, and The Clock Tower; slow them down or turn the crank by hand.

Do the movements have character, and can you see what drives them?

  • Draw a dance

In The Dancing Pair, select a cam and redraw part of its motion chart, including a flat pause.

Does the figure perform the movement you meant to draw?

  • Change the punchline

Alter timing or move a figure, then explore the Moment tab and its highlighted timeline.

Do the figures really meet when the celebration says they do?

  • Look behind the stage

Use Front, Side, and Free views; try Check for collisions and inspect any suggested repair.

Are depth, warnings, and repair choices understandable without losing your idea?

  • Build a tiny original

Start a New sculpture, add a part and a figure, then Save file and reopen it; peek at Parts to cut if curious.

Can you make something expressive, and do the controls leave enough room to see it?

Project details: Automata
Current work
Port 5198 has persistent camera positioning, Front, Side and Top views, steadier panels, restored examples and clearer timing. The latest agent checks passed.
Next step
User playtest when you return.
Limitations
Real GPU feel and timing remain for the user to assess.

Parlour

Two party games for a TV and phones: a memory game about invented details, and a co-op patent office.

Estimated progress97%

Now Hosted multiplayer ready for device playtest

Start playtest ↗

First load may take about a minute while the free server wakes.

Things to try: Parlour

Bring one shared host screen and at least two players on separate phones; the free server may need a minute to wake.

  • Gather around

Create a hosted room and have players join by code or QR, keeping their screens private.

Can everyone join and understand when to watch the host or their own screen?

  • Compare your memories

Play False Witness, read your own report, and try an optional sketch before the host-paced reveal.

Does the reveal spark conversation, and do the titles feel playful and fair?

  • Pitch a strange invention

Play Patent Pending: draw a component, pitch it, then repair it after the clauses are revealed.

Do the drawing tools support your idea, and does the repair round add to the fun?

  • Find your group's rhythm

Let the host use Pause or More time when needed, and save a memory card or patent at the end.

Where does the group laugh, hesitate, or feel ready to move on?

  • Take a phone-sized interruption

During a relaxed moment, briefly switch apps or reload one player's page, then return to the same seat.

Is it clear whether your work was sent, and can the group carry on comfortably?

Project details: Parlour
Current work
The approved online game is open. Private live updates, reconnect and a real hosted restart passed; saved reports and seats survived.
Next step
Play with a host screen and separate player devices, then report any game-flow or connection issues.
Limitations
Free hosting may take about a minute to wake. Physical multi-device playtesting remains.
